Soul City Sound is a start-up musical instrument, equipment, and accessory dealer based in the greater Philadelphia area. Our team is a father and son outfit, consisting of Ben and Van Popp. For now, this is our side gig. Ben is currently a graduate student at the University of Chicago, studying anthropology and Van is a senior supply chain analyst in the medical industry.

Aside from his studies, Ben is an active gigging musician with a passion for high quality gear! Soul City Sound started as a personal project of Ben's during his hunt for the perfect gigging and recording rig. His obsessive buying and selling of gear on Reverb became a passion, and evolved into a brand.
